Overdrive unit question

It seems to well made to not be legit. The seal is part of the sealed ball bearing in the picture. The main seal, if it's like the married units, is behind the bolted on plate. I believe when you unbolt the plate it'll come right off because the input shafts are internally splined.

I remember seeing that a divorced unit was available. It wasn't as common as a married unit, but they did make one.

Can confirm divorced units are available, I’ve worked on several trucks with them down here.

Fair enough... but does the welded-on yoke depicted above point to a hasty repair? or a 'custom' divorced-mount?

The most common aux OD unit to find around here is a TH400 version (usually GM motorhome). Everybody wants to make them work with something else.
