Pretty sure the Banks Power Pack air cleaner I have has a big soup bowl in it. The Banks stuff is supposed to make your truck cooler, and maybe more powerful, so there must be some good to the soup bowl thingy.
IIRC it's a taller air cleaner than the stock one is. If it is, then the bigger filter would allow for more air flow.

Well that cone doesn't look to be for sound as much as the inverted piece of the stock lid. It looks more like it's only there to promote flow down into the intake...

That's a lot of injectors haha

So I have a customer with a 92 f 250 that he had some hack in Washington throw a motor into last year it was running kinda poor smoking black and down on power I took a look at it an addressed a few basic issues like fuel filter and air filter it ran better but still smoked black at wot on a hard pull so I took the bowl out and gave it some atf and it quit smoking but the pump has been opened on this truck I can see tool marks on the top cover and side plate and have no idea what year motor this is all I can say is I think it helps with air flow maby not enough for a lot of people to notice but in all reality thease motors are huge air compressors more air in and more air out =more power and more power =better fuel economy

Thank you ODP. And the rest of you. I've been snowed in and without power or internet since last sunday, so it's nice to be able to see some feedback again.

Oh yes. i had forgotten about that snow storm. Could you tell how much snow you had? It's usually hard to tell here. The wind almost always blows hard when it's snowing so 1" leaves 8" drifts.

It was up to my butt. Still is, mostly. Wishing I had about 7 teenagers with snow shovels here. Flirting with a heart attack if I try to shovel it. It was hard enough just to walk through it with it that deep. Now I have a path packed down. But that's not going to get my truck out...

That sounds like what they were calling for. You should be able to get the truck out by July. Here, there's just a light dusting on the ground from what I've seen from my house so far.
