Has anyone replaced these mirrors with a newer style? It may be tough because of the redneck A/C but it would be awesome to have power folding mirrors.

I’ve been swiped a dozen times in Seattle parking lots and though these are rigid enough to take it, would be a cool upgrade. Thoughts?

To add, could even be a modification to the current ones to make them foldable as I don’t want to ruin the look.

Is that your truck as your profile pic? If so, it looks to have foldable mirrors already like my 87.

The big V bracket is hinged to the mounts on the door, so you can fold in the mirrors. I had to do it to back my truck through my mom's slightly narrow double gate to get it into the back yard.

I think he's looking for power folding though. Not sure why, because real trucks don't have spark plugs, carpet floors, OR POWER FOLDING MIRRORS :fan:

He said modifying the existing too. There's no way to do that.

Sure there is, just not cost effective. No reason you couldn't mount an electric actuator and make power folding mirrors from the stock ones. Might look like crap though LOL

This is what I was thinking. Just a thought as I was riding on the ferry yesterday after hopping out in the rain to get the passenger side in. As I pulled into the middle a new 6.7 flipped his in as I went by which gave me the idea.

These work better for me then stock and still fold...need to slide the assembly about 6 inches forward though.
