Gotta love these old fords with IDI’s. My boss at the local used car dealership I work at is just amazed at the fact that I’m not spending 40 dollars a day anymore on gas. And he was around when these trucks were new so to see how it preforms now makes him wonder why ford never put diesels in dentsides and bumpsides. At least not in North America.

Thanks for the comments guys, I loved this body style, both my grandpas had them and this one was a 3rd cousin who I worked for, found the truck in a field and he gave it to me. He was the original owner, so it kinda stays in the family. If I sell it I have to sell it to him, but I don't want to. This is mine, I learned a lot on it and I know every part of this truck.

Bolted some more stuff up last night. Have to get some new J nuts to hold the fenders on, get the body lines matching up and do final body work, then prime and paint the exterior.

And yes, that is a gmt400 hydroboost setup on the brakes. I dislike relying on the vaccum pump.

The paint is much nicer but my brother has been sanding all the red paint off his 93 f150 so everything is dusty.

Been busy working on shutdown at work, down for maintenance for 4 weeks so I was doing 12 + hour days and not many days off. I am cleaning up heater parts and installing wiring harnesses right now. Hopefully get some more done on it, but I am also in the process of buying an old dairy farm so this may unfortunately get pushed back again. Was going to get on buying turbo, pump, and intercooler for the 7.3 in the service truck, but now the money is earmarked for down payment. Oh well, at least I will have a shop of my own to work in when I get the farm.

Thank you Wes, you have so many parts I need every time I look on the website I realize I will be spending a good chunk of change there. I am really looking forward to your custom .450" plunger injection pumps, wanna spank my buddy's 6.0 powerjoke.

I have been in the process of moving into my new place, but the 68 stayed at my dad's shop. We founf more rust in the hood, am making replacement parts now. Dad is finishing up with his Lincoln and my brother's truck is done, so we will start to get more done soon.

I finished the patches in the hood, going to get the underside prepped for paint, then after it is painted it will get installed on the truck and when the fenders are ready the whole thing will get painted.
