I Suspect I need a new filter stem for my front fuel tank sending unit. Anyone know of a good quality one out there? Reviews I've read seem bad.

I just replaced my front shower head, improved the usage of the tank greatly! I wanted to replace the rear one but when my dad, grandpa, and I where putting back on the original truck bed (had a bale bed on it that my grandpa still wanted to keep) the hose got pinched so I would have to lift the bed up about 2 inches to drop the back tank turning a hour job into an all day affair. So that one is the way it is for now...

Lol. Had a similar issue with my rear tank, so I ran it almost empty and dropped the tank and replaced it with a 38 gallon bronco tank and fabbed up a new sending unit and pickup tube.

I've heard that's a popular thing to do if your doing a lot of high way driving, what did you do with the spare tire cause I don't think that it could still fit under there with the larger tank.

ive installed the PS showerheads on my truck when I built it.
they lasted about a year, then broke.
im a big fan of using a piece of tubing with a V notched at the bottom

I have a plan to cut a circular notch in the bed side in front of the rear wheel, and mount the spare there. That under the fuel tank mount is a mess, and you wind up lying in the mud struggling to get it down. Unfortunately, that's quite a way down the project list.

Had the 6.0 shower head two or three years now. No issues. The v notch is what the previous owner had done and had failed, but to be fair it wasn't even fuel hose. As far as spare tire mount, with the bigger tank you won't have room for it. Most of the time I'm pulling my trailers and all else fails il drop the trailer off at a gas station and steal a tire off my trailer and put on my truck and be mobile to go get the busted tire off the rim and new on. My truck currently has three trailer rims on it now. Lol. Trailer has three of my truck rims cause I'm too lazy to swap them back on wen I hook back up to my trailer. Just slap the loose rim back on the trailer and go.

Could you show me a example of what you did.
Don't have a pic anymore, but this should give you the idea.
I slid the hose on but left the clamp loose, then set the sender in place so it would push the hose on where it needed to be. Pulled it then tightened the clamp.

So no need for a screen?
I have inline filters before my FSV.
