This beautiful 1994 F250 idit came down from Arizona for some upgrades, tomorrow it will be going on the dyno for a baseline run before I pull the engine. It’s a factory turbo truck with a 2wd E40D, very much stock other than a straight pipe welded in place of the muffler, so it will be interesting to see what a healthy idit with a little over 200k miles makes through an auto.

I will be installing studs, rebuilding and upgrading the turbo kit, and optimizing the stock IP for towing, as is the truck is fairly gutless. I took the truck out today to degrease the under carriage and got some baseline 0-60 runs before the upgrades, note the DA is pretty average for this area this time of year.

15.4 seconds 0-60 in an automatic truck isn’t peppy by any means, hopefully it’s at least half that after the upgrades are done, I’m guessing it’s going to make around 150hp tomorrow, leave your guesses below. I will be on the dyno at 11am central standard time, and will attempt to do a livestream on the Classic Diesel Designs Facebook page of this truck and the shop truck running. I’ll share the link here and later post the videos and results here. More to come, thanks for reading;Sweet

Thanks Wes, I wholeheartedly agree with your assessment, it is absolutely gutless in its current form. Can’t wait to see both the run tomorrow as well as all the changes coming soon.

And I'll bet you have to leave the hood on so I'm guessing no Shop Truck double turbo setup?LOL On the serious side, are you going into the pump or just tuning it up? If you're going inside the pump, what about the injectors?

Just turning it up following the same steps I’ve put out in the db2 tuning guide. This pump has been rebuilt not long ago so we’re going to run it for awhile before upgrading, and we have some R&D stage ones going in to replace the stock injectors

No guessing from me. I'm very interested though, as this is basically Raylan minus the big exhaust, 60-1 upgrade, 910 springs, port clean up, cranked up baby moose, injectors and unplugged waste gate.
Is it getting an intercooler?

Stripped everything down, all the hardware is getting cleaned up in my tumbler, and blasting all the external parts for paint.

Gonna drop off the exhaust parts at the ceramic coater, and a few turbos at the machinest for wheel upgrades tomorrow morning.
