Its a 4" spacing, just cut 4" hoses and youll have it fit perfect each time, ...

What I've been doing is cutting the hose bits a little long, then letting them curve a little in between to take up the extra length. The olives end up sitting slightly diagonal rather than aligned fore-and-aft. It doesn't seem to keep them from sealing.

``Build it on the table'' is how I'll do it next time.

Edited to add: if you do one side at a time, you can keep the injector lines on the other side sealed, and have the engine running on one bank while you bleed the injectors on the other bank.

That's what I did, too.

I did do the "on the tailgate" method. But I made each line just a bit long. I just feel I got a much better seal this way.

Also, before I even started to build the new one, I took all the caps, and used a piece of sandpaper around the inside bottom rim.

Just the rim. Not up inside.

I did this to improve the chamfer. Also greased this chamfer, and not just the o-rings themselves, before putting the caps on.

I think the next time I do this, I am going to use silicone grease.
