Its already paid 100.00 discount :( yay. Im thinking the Bureau of Automotive Repair?
Hes probably reading the post but my ties are fully cut now. I will post the narrative of what he did lately for the truck which was remove the IP and send it back for a minor metering problem then reinstall. When he sent it there was still fuel in it so they wouldn’t accept it so he cleaned it up, left the module on side of IP that was brand new and it broke during shipping.

Gah! That sucks. He probably means the injection pump. No hpop. Nothing electrical to control the power delivery.

You've been asked some good questions you should take the time to answer. More details on the performance, boost pressure, egt, smoke color, etc.

On the front of the engine where the injection pump mounts. There is a cover plate with two small bolts in it. There are also two larger bolts that mount the aluminum casting to the top of the engine. In your best estimation, which pair of bolts were removed?

Does the throttle cable fully open the throttle? Have someone depress the pedal to the floor and then try to press the throttle lever on the pump further to the rear.

BTW. I would have gone with the chrome injection lines. Guaranteed extra 5 HP and strippers prefer chrome. I don't know if a timing meter clamp would even work on painted lines. Which makes one wonder if the pump was timed.

Imho you should make another post with something like "looking for help/advice in Fresno" or wherever you are for a title. I'm sure that someone would step up, if not to do the actual work, at least to advise you and perhaps teach you a little more about the idit platform.

I can see why he had to do something about the throttle cable. It's not an OEM style cable.

You sure you don’t actually have a powerstoke? lol, high pressure fuel pump and pressure regulator?? You trolling us here or something? Also, $600 is pretty cheap in all reality. That’s what, five hours of labor?

I was thinking the same thing. Did he get "taken" a bit, yea probably in the sense that the truck is not running well. Is 6 bills being *****? Not in my book. Education is expensive, especially the school of hard knocks. We lost 6 figures on a house flip in the spring. Now that was an education!

Unfortunately, learning from, not to mention paying for, an incompetent "teacher" and his mistakes is far from an optimal learning experience.
BTW, sorry about the hit on the flip, that's gotta hurt!

The way it was made to sound, I thought it was thousands of dollars.

That 600 dollars is just parts. Was his labor free?
