OK all, here is the thread to throw your hat in the ring for the 2020 Oilburners Rally, usually held sometime in July. So, make your pitch, it's been a couple months since the 2019 Rally, so I'm sure the bug is starting already....

Post a general location, and an idea of activities and the like in your area. This thread will be open to throw your hat in the ring until Saturday, October 19, 2019. At that time, I will close this thread and post a Rally Voting thread.

Subway and Doc have mentioned they could do it repeat in Gatlinburg area.

So here's your chance........

some people were making considerations at the last Fall Brawl. i am not sure if anything is taking hold yet for those that were considering.

if not Heath and I can make a call to the campground again that we stayed at this year.

Hey guys there’s always Yellowstone out here in Wyoming!!

i keep dreaming of making it out that way to see CO and WY someday! i keep getting more upset about the lack of offroading and general outdoor stuff around here in PA. most of us would need about 3-4 days to drive that way though.

I’d love to come meet all you guys but I really don’t see myself driving much more than 2 hours. That’s a pretty big circle though

within 2 hrs is a close rally for most people. i have had closed to me rallys but i am usually driving 6-12 hrs to see all my crazy internet friends. i am not going to complain either, because we have people who travel much further sometimes.

unfortunately that is the nature of the beast when we are meeting through the world wide internet.

It’s a big country lol! I’d probably have to stay within 4 hours unless it’s in Spring or Fall.

I hate skipping rally years and now that my kids are old enough to remember, they're asking a lot also. They're getting the "loud stinky truck" bug haha. And they loved the CB radio convoys!

I should edit that, I love the CB convoys!!

But also the rallys give a discipline in truck maintenance and repairs that I am embarrassed to say I do not otherwise have on my work vehicles. The truck needs to travel a long distance with >>my children safe inside<<, AND it has to not embarrass me when the hood is open haha.
