Well, Once again the wife and I took another 9 hour round trip over to the Pendelton, Oregon area Friday to pick up the dually after Diamond eye made an exhaust kit for it.
I didn't get a chance to talk to the foreman as he was headed out to pick up another truck. Hopefully soon enough they will have a kit posted on their web site and be available for sale.
Now that the truck is home again, I can continue to play with it.
A few more LED lights to install an set of bed rail caps to install also.
Then the next phase of the project starts and that will take more money and time.
Basically I wound up with a 4 inch straight pipe all the way out the back. It looks like it has a 6" chrome tip on it. That chrome tip must be good for another 50HP alone!! (smoking whaa???)
I didn't get any details on the down pipe or other mods, but it does breathe easier.
Then I fought a 30 MPH head wind all the way through the wind surfing capitol of the world and got about 8.6 MPG on the way home at about 75 MPH.

Well, I was the test mule for the first kit and I left my truck with them for a week. I guess no one else ever could make the trip and no kits were available for purchase until they had a truck in the shop to design a system. So as I was willing to make the trip from the far side of Oregon to their shop, I figure my cost was about $325 considering round robin fuel cost of two vehicles with a lunch stop each time.
I guess the wife will throw in about 18 hours of drive time for no charge.
Aren't you guys lucky?

I know a guy with a '05 (I think) Dodge with a Cummins. Several years ago, he told me that the 7" tip on his exhaust gave him something like 10HP. I didn't believe that for a second but wasn't going to argue with him about it. His older brother told me once that there's a diode that he could buy for his 95 Dakota with a 3.9 that would get him 10more MPG and it cost less than $10. When I asked him why he hadn't bought it yet, he didn't answer. I even volunteered to buy it for him. I just wanted to see it. I've come to the conclusion that talking to Dodge guys about vehicles and performance is almost productive as talking to AOCrackhead about Climate Change!cookoo

I think I must have run across his distant brother.
Maybe "removing" the diode would free up the gray matter.
Most people with the Cummins believe their machines are beyond reproach.
I don't bother going into the past failures of some of those wonderful Cummins.
I almost feel like saying, "Yeah. I had a Powewerstroke too. . .
It might be fun to watch their heads spinning .

You the fella out of San Diego? He did mention someone in that area desired to bring a truck up.
Fair distance to travel for a $300 kit that should be out in about 3 weeks.
The wife say's "Your Welcome".
I don't think I will here the end of it for awhile.

I'm due for a 3" downpipe on my '94, so tell you're wife "Thanks"!

Post up some photos when you can. Did they modify the cobra neck from 2.5" stock too? Or did you already have that part?

I gave them a bone stock set up from a 1994 7.3 idi Turbo with about 126,900 on the odometer.
The kit they are coming out with will have the 3 inch down pipe.
I figured it cost me a tad bit more to get it done for free.

As I recall the prototype would take a week and production for sales was I think 3 weeks behind???
But the list of pre orders from here should push that back a ways.
