Yes, very! As I grow older though I have thought about starting over and do something a little more simple and start exploring and give up rock crawling and breaking stuff. Maybe an XJ with a TDI so I can daily drive it and get 30mpg!
Here is one of my favorites, hells gate in moab!

Got my banks crankcase breather put on this afternoon, just wanted to try this out as I read that the spinning timing gear keeps the oil mist separated from the blowby. It will be routed into a 1" hose into a CDR I am going to attach to the intake pipe somehow.

Here is a link for the banks part.

Just pulled the Eisenhower grade at about 12.5k gross on Saturday. This is the 4th time I have pulled this hill with my idi and all I can say is I am now happy. The water to air intercooler and a better high flowing rotary vane fuel pump had improved the power and EGTs. I held 60mph in 4th gear for the first half of the climb, 2500rpms, 8psi, and 800 degrees EGTS. Then down to 3rd gear, 2600rpms, 14 pounds of boost and up to 900 degrees for the remainder of the climb all the way to 11,100 feet. I did reached 19 psi when I buried the pedal to the floor. A damn old RV home pulled out in front of me right where the lanes drop to 2 and I was forced to slow down a bit and drop to 2nd gear till I entered the tunnel. My coolant temps were getting a little hot and I believe a new fan clutch should help quite a bit. I was worried that my new water heat exchanger was blocking my radiator a tad but it was about the same as before. My temp gauge climbs steady going a little slower on steep grades and cools right off back to normal going downhill.

I ran Holy cross in my XJ with a couple of buddies so I made the quick weekend. It was fun.

Just saw this now...

I've considered repowering the XJ or building another Jeep, frame and tub style with a MB OM 617. Alternatively, since we now have a 4x4 idit f250, maybe a VW IDI TD powered Suzuki Sidekick for the skinny trails and around town at 40mpg to boot!

Got a leak underneath the IP and its become worse since the long road trip, and it appears to be coming from one of these two screws inside the red circle in the picture below. Do either one of these have an oring underneath? I want to take the IP out and investigate some more once I get free time. Thanks in advanced.

You sure it's not coming from the upper white circle and running down?

I've had my finger between there and the advance cylinder to see if it was the weep hole. It was dry there and diesel continued to drip on the bottom. Sometimes I see the Allan head closest to the injector lines dripping diesel directly off it.

Shaft seals are leaking if its the white circle, and just dripping down to the other area since thats the lowest point of the pump.
