Where did you buy the FICM? They come flashed (programmed) from Ford (and most other places as well). They do not need to be specifically programmed to your engine.

So, is it a VT365 Spec'ed FICM for an International Truck

Or is it a 6.0 Spec'ed FICM for a Ford Truck?

IH and Ford run different programming for the engines. If it's indeed for an IH Medium Duty Application, it may very well need reflashed. I've not had to do a flash on mine, when mine failed, I sent it off and got mine fixed.

If it's an IH application, I don't think the Ford Computer can talk to it. A reflash will make it so it works, because ita software diference, not hardware. If it's a Ford Speced one, it should at least run.

Open up the secondary fuel filter bowl and remove the filter. Have someone tun the key on while you watch the bowl fill with fuel. It should fill pretty quickly.

A fuel pressure gauge would be a good thing to have as well.

Lastly, you might try a bubble test. Pull the FICM relay and try cranking w/ the secondary fuel filter bowl filled and the filter removed. Crank with the starter solenoid wire jumpered to the passenger side positive battery terminal (that way the fuel pump won't turn on and the glow plugs won't operate). Look for bubbles when cranking. There are youtube videos on doing this.

It tests for an injector allowing combustion gas to flow backwards which will restrict fuel from flowing to all 4 injectors on that side.

Well got the old 6.0 running after pulling the secondary fuel filter I turned the key and never built any fuel pressure so I checked the primary filter and swapped it with a new Moto craft and low and behold she fired up and ran great for an hour or so today I'll take her out for a rip down the road and see how she runs. @bismic1 thank you for the advice
