Finally pulled the trigger and ordered 4 new tires for her. I'm only about 4 months behind schedule on where I wanted to be with the truck. Has not been started since last October. Plan to check a few things then fire her up and get the tires installed in the next week.

I need to install my new injectors, returns, delete the fuel heater and degrease the motor. My money and time always seem to find other uses.

Hauled 200 gallons of heating oil home from Fairbanks, plus the groceries for the month. Probably burned about a pint of lube oil on the 200 mile round trip. The '89 crew cab is my best runner, but it's not going to last forever. I need to get serious about getting one of my spare engines rebuilt.

Abandoned her.

Well, not really abandoned.

But it sure did look awfully forlorn, sitting there at the shop, when I drove away.

In a week or two, I'll get back a truck that I won't have to be forever dinking with stuff on.

Doesn't mean I WON'T be forever dinking with it. LOL But I won't HAVE to!

:D

We are in the same exact boat! But I know she’s in good hands so it helps me sleep, a little. Lol

Pulled leaky radiator from Teddy without help, other than 2x4 A frame and HF ratchet straps. Need to fix leaking AT hoses at coolers (5/16 hose on 3/8 pipe) from PO!!

Ordered some new injector o-rings from Amazon on Thursday, they're supposed to be here tomorrow. A couple of them were leaking after we swapped the injectors and after swapping the IP they're worse. I don't mind the smell of Diesel but it's BAD now. I'm pretty sure I didn't grease them sufficiently when I replaced the caps last time. I was trying to hurry a little bit.

I've had a vibration for a few weeks now, I'm going to start looking at that this morning before my father in law gets here to patch up his junker a little more (there's a thread in the Lounge from a couple years ago if you're curious, hate that thing)

After that, I'm hoping to finally change my brake cable that I bought in February....
