My neighbor has an '87 E250 based motorhome with a 351 and C6 behind it. Weight is about 8200#. He has had what I think to be low power but I'm not sure what to expect out of this setup. Climbing over the cascades he is struggling to hold 35 on hwy 26. I'm not sure how it should compare power wise to my 6.9/T19 F250 at 8950# which seems to climb much better. It generally starts well and runs fine on flat ground. But there are some known or suspected issues in the fuel tanks and exhaust. I am also suspicious of the ignition and recent carb rebuild/tuneup based on some of he other work previous owners have done.
