Years ago I bought an S10 Blazer from the original "elderly" owner. During the years he owned it, the transmission was replaced under factory warranty and with less than 60,000 miles on the odometer it needed yet another transmission which he was unwilling to pay for replacement. Consequently I bought the vehicle from him with the toasted trans. Other than that it was in excellent condition due to his care, limited use, and garage kept. Even had a new set of tires! Anyway I removed the transmission and noticed the original factory pre-bent cooling lines had very sharp bends. Addressing this issue when I replaced the transmission, I also replaced the factory lines with braided stainless steel transmission lines + added a cooler. Been using this Blazer as a backup / bad weather / salt road runner for the last 10 years with over 170,000 on the odometer and zero trans problems.
When replacing pre-bent trans cooler lines, consider braided stainless steel, they certainly made me a believer!

The cherry picker still didn't work after filling the oil in the ram. It's air/manual operated.

You could rebuild the cylinder.

Just make sure they don't rub anywhere. I've seen plastic rub a hole in them. Lol

@saburai was supposed to be out at my place around 4:30pm. Due to a few different problems we ended up at his place with the trailer around 12am. Got Raylan all loaded up

We're about halfway home now. Tomorrow is going to be fun but as as long as we get the transmission swapped out and the brakes fixed he should be able to drive it home no problem.

I'm pretty impressed how well the old girl is handling it. I have to be around 17k if I'm honest. Not too shabby for a NA!

Swapped out the worn steering rod and put in a aftermarket one took out more than half the play in my steering wheel

I did have to modify the replacement to make it fit thankfully it telescopes just like the OEM one and it has a built in damper

New IC. Went water/air again, but tried my best to keep the stock fresh air intake. Worked out pretty good. First time I've welded aluminum in years so please don't be too harsh. Even built a crimping tool to keep the boots on guttentight.

Water IC fits perfectly in stock opening on the '94. The mounting bolts even lined up with holes already in the bottom lip of the bumper!

I may end up getting some 45 degree boots to angle the IC down into the empty space behind the battery better. I put a leg under the IC to keep it from rubbing on the A/C port and it rubs the hood a little now. (Picture doesn't show final hose routing-finished well after dark last night)

@dgr , it’s is!, it’s the 000985 model I got it from KLM performance

All I did was take of the u-joint that attaches to the steering column, (firewall side) then cut off about 6.5 inches , deburred it and put it back on
And tighten her down German tight

Said F the honey-do list and pulled the inner wheel fenders off.

Also I spent last weekend helping a family member refresh suspension in his C1500. We did ball joints, springs, shocks, tie rod ends etc... ended up with a nice new impact (aircat1150) and a legit ingersoll rand air hammer

Initiating what will probably be a week or two project of cleaning up rust and replacing the exhaust manifold gaskets.

The only real rust in the truck is here in the driver’s side. Constant turbo drain oil leaks have pickled the passenger side and everything back from there.

I might have to do this while my inner fenders are off!
