Using the Cx racing cooler that’s seen on here a lot with my 90cc pump, stage 1 injectors and a modified 093 turbo kit so basically the same set up as you. Works great very responsive and only lost like 1ish psi and everything over 10psi is solid power now not hot charge and falling on its face

nice, double check but you will probably need 3.25" boots on the Ford side of the intercooler. at least I did.

i would also agree with Wes, pressure check it before you put it in. it is much easier to take care of out of the truck before you do all the core support cutting if you have a problem.

I went with a water to air set-up kit, purchased all through froozen boost. Included all the hoses and fittings, 400$ shipped to my door 2 days later. I got the type 118 heat exchanger for the best fit behind the bumper and front grill. Quality seems okay and been happy with it so far.
Here are some pictures of the setup.
I ordered the aluminum 3" pipes and silicon boots from silicon intakes, who also owns froozenboost.
That was another 100$ or so.

The aluminum intake hat was made by typ4, it has a 3" inlet and so it works well with the piping.

I have the water pump hooked up to a relay, powered by a ignition on source. There is a 8" fan that resides behind the heat exchanger and it was a very tight fit with the AC condenser right there. Slight modification was made to the brackets that push back the condenser a little bit.

Overall I am pretty happy. I've seen as high as 17psi of boost, lower egt's and about 1-2 mpg more. Easier to roll out in 2nd gear now, and accelerated right up some of the steep hills around here in northern colorado in 4th gear, right at a 1000 degrees egt's. Time to put it to the test and do some highway towing! Video to youtube sometime in the near future.

It looks like the intercooler pipe is touching the upper radiator hose. If it is, the vibrations will rub a hole in the hose.

Hi in the Cascades, Nearly- Redmond,Oregon
I stuck a '99 PS intercooler on my '90. ($100 Ebay) Had to space everything out 1" but got it done. Got a tubing kit & other things needed off EBay, probably be around another $100-$125 worth of stuff. Still haven't got it hooked up yet, too many other things to get done in my world. But am happy with way cooler itself mounted etc.

Serious question, wondering what an average installed intercooler kit on a rig like mine would be quoted at installed? Thought I'd find out so I can brag to the wife what I'm worth when she gripes about what I spend on my rig instead of her car or furniture.... LOL

I'm in the process of mounting a 7.3 intercooler in a Bronco with a 92-96 diesel core support. If i didnt already cut my core support I would have chosen to go a different direction. Im using a stock a/c condensor that i modified the lower brackets so the condensor sits flat against the radiator.

I just used a CX Racing 2.5” universal bar and plate intercooler kit from eBay, a hacksaw and a file for my 93 F250 and it went in without a problem.
I do wish I had used 2.25” instead.

I'm thinking about using 2.5" piping to make it easier to route. I've found the right size reducer for the intercooler. Question is, are y'all using the intake snail to plumb to, modifying it, or using a custom hat? Also what seems to be the best intake option. I see lots of 6637 filters (huge) and I know justin uses an aem filter (not sure which model)
