So my radiator has no circulation of fluid as far as I can tell I took top hose off and no fluid being pumped out and I open the cap and the fluid is not circulating is this normal or is something wrong the truck isn’t over heating according to my gauge?

Until the thermostat opens, you aren't going to get any flow to the radiator. The thermostat isn't going to open until the engine is hot, and even then if you are driving around empty, it will cycle open and shut; the engine doesn't make enough heat(unloaded) to keep the thermostat open when hot.

If your truck doesn't overheat, you probably don't have a water pump issue. If you could touch the upper radiator hose long enough to remove it, your thermostat probably isn't open like Macrobb said.

these truck do not have a plastic impeller that can break apart over time. if the pump is spinning it is pumping unless something catastrophic happened.

if it is not overheating like mentioned i would not be to worried about it.
