Since my cab of my truck stays around 101+ for the last 4 months down here in FL, I am going to do a compressor install and get my AC running. Got the bracket and old compressor from previous owner and would like to ask if anyone has some pics of that style compressor installed. Thanks

Rear view sans the compressor.

That’s the best I have.

I see where the bottom 2 bolts connect on the front bracket. Is there another bracket in back that the other 2 bottom bolts attach? I have to go out and take a looksee when the sun comes up.

Okay, I see that the back, almost square looking plate serves as the rear supporting bracket. That the previous owner did not give me, but I can fabricate one from some plate scrap.

No. It’s a 7.3.
If that back supporting plate is off, I would gladly send you some money to trace out that plate on a paper or manilla folder and mail to me. I could just go from that and make my own plate. Thanks. Mike

It is currently on the truck. I may have one I can get toon my other engine. @Thewespaul probably has one in his pile one in his pile of stuff. Several folks here have ditched the V belts. Not sure how the AC compressor mount changes from SERP to V.

Digging the International script valve covers! Reminds me of my 1st car, 59 International Travelall. 266 V8 (with the script) 4 spd. Wish I had it now it would get a 6.9 or a DT360
I had originally planned on making a set by grafting a set of script valve covers to an IDI but figured it wasn’t worth the time and expense and having to cut up a good set of script valve covers. So decal it is. Fits nice though.

Thanks laserjock. If you can get to it I'll send you some money. In the meantime, I'll send Wes a message to check if he has one for sale or one he can trace out. Back to work I guess. On a chipping hammer today.... Lately it's been everyday.

My 68 scout was a factory 266/4 speed scout. This was before the internet and i could not find a piston for it. I stuffed a great running 345 in it. That was a sweet scout then!

IDI probably would have weighed less.
