Here's a thought for getting cooler air into the engine compartment, which in-turn would get cooler air into the turbo.....

A setup I've seen on other Pre-92 Ford Chassis RV's is a couple of boat vent's. The kind that are used to bring in outside air into the bilge/transom/engine on a boat.

Something like this:

The one I saw caught my attention because it reminded me of the ones that were on our boat. Not the most elegant or pretty solution, but effective. They also make van hoods with a hood scoop built in....

Well I have plenty of room at my garage. Your dog could possibly meet some of the neighbor dogs too. No issues with you being there although someone may ask you what you're doing.

Cool.

I'd get there a bit before dark, so she probably wouldn't need to go out until the morning, and maybe only once depending how long it takes. Generally she's fine with other dogs unless they try to mount her or claw at her face. (I can't blame her, I'd get mad too if some random person did either of those things to me!)

I just park, drop the blinds, and drape a blackout moving blanket between the cab and "house". I'm all set all for the night after that. I don't get out and do perfect leveling or any of that, so I might not be too alarming.

I could probably avoid people knocking on my door if I tape sheet of paper to it saying "Do not disturb. I have permission from (your name) to be here." If people still knock, I just wouldn't answer. My dog will be vocal enough about saying "go away!" without me needing to. I don't think anyone will try to force their way in when she's barking from the passenger seat, where she usually goes to bark at people/things outside. She's a big sweetie pie but she's also protective and stands guard.

Somebody in another RV parked next to me a week or so ago at like 4am and was walking his dog. She was barking her head off, in her angry tone. I just let her bark until she was done despite waking me up like that. It's not something I discourage when she's doing what she should, being a good guard dog.

Funny, your posted image won't load on the regular post, but does in the text edit box for quoting.

It's amazing that anyone still makes custom scooped hood covers for such old vans, even if it's $180 for an 85's.

Most custom aftermarket stuff you can't even get anymore. My 87 F250 is the same way. I would like to have a front hitch but it would require custom fabrication. I don't want one that badly.

I guess I was worried over nothing. I drove about 45 miles today finally, hitting 65mph tops and the new Equus mechanical temperature gauge never got over 200F. It might have hit 200 for a minute or so when I was taking off from a stop sign and getting up to 60mph.

At about 60mph, on relatively a flat highway, with little to no wind, I saw roughly)

Water temp: 190-195ish
Manifold pressure: 5
Pryometer: 700-800 (900 at 65 or on hills at 50-60)

Sounds fine to me.
