just went and picked up a new set of federal courageous for my truck and couldn’t be more pleased. Quiet tire, smooth riding, don’t snatch and pull on worn in roads. Very affordable. I would highly recommend them.

Is that truck stock height? Any clearance issues?

No it has an airbag system in the back and it had a 1” lift up front with the 285’s. The front wasn’t going to clear so I pulled the 1” off and replaced with a 3” before having the new tires mounted. Clears fine with no issues at all. I have always been a fan of proportionally lifting and setting up my vehicles to maintain a large stock look.

My wheels are rather skinny. Not sure of the exact width. I would like to get different wheels in the future. The logical move would have been to get new tires and wheels at the same time but I’m trying out the whole “responsible with my money” thing everyone is always preaching to me.

Thanks, when I went to 285/75r16 I switched to van wheels (7" wide, stock are 6 1/2"). Those looked like 7" in your pictures. I'm looking for 8" but if the tires wear out before I find a deal, I'll go with my 7" to get by for awhile.

BTW: being "responsible" with my money is hard as I have to much fun.

Exactly! They have those weird square fender wells that are y’all as hell but hardly have enough room between them for stock tires. After I put these tires on my truck I realized I could easily have gone 37’s with the room I have but I’m not too into the fender wells being stuffed.
