P.I.S. Fell apart recently avoid at all cost. Do Not buy on eBay or buy on price. This is something there are no shortcuts or cheap way.
Powerstroke Army has a lot of discussion in the past year on this. I believe there are 3 trustworthy 7.3 inj builders in the country. I went with Swamps. Full Force is another.
In the past 10 years I got screwed over once and then watched dozens of threads that ended up being poor inj build quality problems.
If it were me I would get NEW AC code single shots and a chip to run them, an FRX and never look back.

Thanks you guys, I’m going to look into those suggestions. Just so I know what is P.I.S. ?
I’ve always steered away from the chips as when I see people who ruined theirs motors it’s been attributed to chips and this truck is my work truck hauling tools/materials/trailers and can’t risk any problems as I don’t have any at present. (Perhaps it’s simply lack of knowledge and understanding on my end as to why I’ve stayed away from any chips)

So what are the benefits of the single shot AC’s over split AD?

As always I appreciate the knowledge shared on here. Thanks a ton.

So what are the benefits of the single shot AC’s over split AD?

The benefit is fuel flow. AD injectors are rated at 135 cc. AC injectors are rates at 160 cc.

The AC injectors are single shot, AD are split shot. No real benefit there. In fact the split shots were developed to reduce Noise Harshness and Vibration (NHV), so your engine will be noisier with single shot injectors.

As mentioned previously, you will also need to reprogram the ECU for optimal results.

Thanks for the info. As for the P.I.S. What does that mean? My best guess is a reference to the injector cups possibly?

P.I.S. Is Performance Injection Systems was a decent injector company but sold out and new owner not focused on quality.
AC injectors are stock on high torque International medium duty trucks with the 7.3. (T444E) While they have the capability of more fuel (160 cc per 1,000 strokes vs 135) they only inject what the program asks for.

Good to know. Is there any thread on here about all details, just for my own knowledge would like to read about it further. You’ve peaked my interest!
What do programmers (aka tuners correct?) sell for? Guess I’m going to look into that FRX and possibly never look back

Full force diesel makes good reliable injectors for obs fords i have their 160cc injectors in my truck and they work great. $1500 before core charge they ship in a nice organized box with individual boxes and core charge is only $400 and if your cores are shipped back within 30 days in the packaging you received they refund you the $400 very smooth process definately recomend.
