His wife told him to sell it.

Wife: [cranky voice] "You have to get rid of that crappy SUV that doesn't even have satellite radio or cupholders!"

Husband: sigh. "Yeah, I'll post it online. Nevermind all these emails and texts from people interested in this Centurion, I just don't think there is any interest in this old diesel. I'll just have to hold on to it for now."

You can always add such things. This is what I did to a 1978 Dodge years back.
I changed the dog house cover because the original 3/8" deep "cupholders" were totally useless and it had no storage.

I read some study that said the biggest consideration a woman makes when buying a new automobile was the cupholders. Not the engine, performance, fuel economy, horsepower, towing capacity, or safety. The cupholders.

My mom got a new bright red 91 Corolla in 91 and it had NO cup holders. Unless you count the round "cup holders" on the inside lid of the glove box, similar to what the 78 Dodge's cup holders were on the doghouse cover. Which is weird, it was just a cheap bit of folding plastic, pull out cup holders that were available that take up no space when pushed in. Probably a $2 part. Yet, they left it off. I'm guessing it was a $50 option or some crap. She didn't order the car, it was one on the lot that a salesman was using a little. It had maybe a couple hundred miles tops. She got full new car warranty though. Why it was built as a base model though is beyond me. Maybe the salesman ordered it but then decided not to get it and sold it to her? I don't know.

I got the cup holder out of a junk yard car in the mid to late 2000s and put it in. She had a rare base model Corolla, not a DX or LE. I've never seen any without those badges except hers. Yet it did have AM/FM/cassette and A/C, so it wasn't a stripped down one. It didn't have the factory clock either, which was super obvious by the funny curbed delete plate in the dash above the radio. I added the clock too since it was just a few dollars.

phone or text> 253-200-8395 maybe get on the old rotary dial and make the call?

when I advertise something on kijiji (kind of like craigslist) I just put in serious inquiries call the number in the ad. get lots of texts and emails and I always respond ,but the only people that actually show up and buy are the ones that make a phone call and talk in person.

we are going to lose our ability to communicate ? :popcorn:rolleyes:

I've had people call for stuff, say they are coming, but never show up. Yeah. That's not always reliable.
