I found this laying under my glow plug relay.

No idea where it came from or what it is.

Can anyone tell me what it is? (I'm sorry about the quality. Old fart with an old camera...)

It's plastic, by the way.

If I had to guess, I'd say that it came from a injector pump install. They usually came with a similar looking plug in the back of the pump where the hard line fitting goes. Someone probably took it out and couldn't get it out from underneath the intake, where things like to hide. They may have not even tried or cared to get it out. Don't worry about the camera part. I still use a flip phone and a Kodak.

Thank you.

That is what my guess was going to be. I kept looking at the threads on this, and the size and all, and thinking that it would probably screw right into the end of the IP, if I took the center line off.

But I'm still new enough to this stuff that I didn't want to take a chance on ignoring it if it was important.

That's ok. Better to safe than sorry. The "plastic" part is almost a 100% giveaway.
