Hi,
I have looked and searched for some answers but still don't seem to find what I'm looking for. So here is my problem and question I guess. I have a 2007 F-350 and it leaks coolant out if the cap from the Degas bottle, I have changed the cap many times as well as the bottle, the truck blows no white smoke or burns any coolant and only runs a coolant temperature of 164 while crusing at 80 MPH. I am trying to figure out a good answer so I don't just throw money at it, the truck is stock with approximately 86k on a Ford remanufactured engine. Any ideas
Thanks Ralph

Personally, I would say your coolant temp sensor is bad. You should easily get over that.
Swap it with the oil temp sensor. Or just replace it.
What brand cap are you using?
Possible the egr cooler is bad.

Ok yeah I can try that out, I have been wondering about the EGR cooler I have a delete kit just have not installed it yet. The cap is a motorcraft cap I believe itcame with the Degas bottle when I changed it out because it had cracked. I bought the Degas bottle from the Ford garage

Make sure the cap sealing surface is smooth and level.

Beyond that, put a pressure gauge on the degas bottle (tee one into the vent line off of the radiator). That will tell you if the coolant system is over-pressuring.

Ok I'll have to try that, it does kinda look like maybe the cap might be cocked so maybe the Degas bottle threads are messed up
