Is it possible for injectors to last 160k miles? I think mine are original (see photo, it looks like they are painted International Grey, which makes me think original. Maybe?). I'm trying to figure out if my truck has rolled over once, making my mileage 160k miles, or not yet rolled over, putting me at 60k miles. Any ideas?

Injectors are usually "good" for 100-120k miles, but sometimes they can be usable for much longer than that. When my IP and injectors were replaced at 300k, we found that several of the injectors still had the grey paint on them. Apparently the Ford dealership the PO took the truck to wasn't big on replacing all 8 sticks at once.

Most trucks that got serviced at dealerships by the original owners Ill see many different years of injectors in them. By no means should all injectors be "done" at 100k, I think thats just been made up by injector sellers trying to get more sells, a well maintained fuel system that gets lubricant additives regularly can last over 200k miles, Ive replaced plenty of original injectors and pumps that had plenty more miles than that before they started having issues. I think 100k miles is a good time to pop test your injectors just to get a health reading on them, If they need it just match all the pressures and keep running them if they are still going strong.

Sounds good. Thanks guys, I appreciate the info! It seems like the truck has 160k on it from wear and tear, and knowing the injectors can last that long helps confirm it.
Thanks!

340,000mi on the original injectors and pump of our 93 factory turbo. Still starts on first revolution if the return lines aren’t leaking and gets 17-21 mpg (mostly because it’s driven at 70 or less). Nearly everything else in the drivetrain has been rebuilt but the engine hasn’t been touched or given trouble.

Almost embarrassed , mine has original fuel pump & injectors 394000 KM / 244820 miles. Starts first time, I get a little smoke on start up. Runs great ,I'am sure its down on power from new, been planning to renew them for a while.

No hot start issues? I started to experience that around 200k and milked it for a little before changing the pump.
