Anyone know what the actual difference would be in this application?

The rear tank on my truck is shot, I previously extended the life by a few years with some roll-on bedliner, but it's toast at this point.
I have a '91 F-150 I can snag the rear tank from (it was a new poly replacement a couple of years ago, right before it spun a bearing and became a pickup box trailer LOL).
I know it's an 18g vs 19g tank, but what else did they change? My biggest concern is being sure the sending unit head/lock ring is the same size, anything else I can deal with, I just don't want to pull the one out of my truck and find out I can't make it work.

It should work, gas senders use the same diameter hole as the diesels, being both bricks the straps should be the same too. You may need to adjust the arm on your diesel sender a bit

That's what I was thinking, but normally I've either bought a new tank or it's come out of a parts truck that's the same year.
I just wasn't sure if it was a different diameter hole in addition to the different sender arm on the 18 vs 19 gallon tanks.
