Anybody have hd front bumpers for their idis? I'd like to get one for mine 88 f250 but not having any luck finding one to fit my truck.

check ebay / clist daily, they pop up from time to time but most were on the expensive side.
I finally gave up on a used one and got one here since they are local-ish to me

Got mine from a member here. Ended up being built from some very heavy channel iron. My son started calling it B.O.B. (Big O'le Bumper). Someone pulls out in front of us, they risk meeting BOB.

I learned a trick when I picked up my bumper, they didn't build it from a dozen pre-cut flat pieces like you might expect
they started with a 6x8 square tube, cut out the back, notched it and bent it into shape so most of the visible joints are factory 90 degree bends in the tubing
I build bumpers for my off road beaters but I wanted something that looks better than I though I could build from scratch for this truck
all I really wanted was an old warn bumper. every gear head had them stacked up like cord wood a few years ago
you could trip over them for 50-100$ all day long.
I blame cash for clunkers

for the price i see them go for i built mine, i poked around for a while before i did but could not really find anything. the price of a new one was a no-go with the budget. if you have some metal around you can easily build a set up much more "heavy duty" than some of the aftermarket ones anyway.

Thanks for the input. I'm a little nervous about making one because I don't want it to look like crap. But I might try.

I made mine using "stair stringer channel", basically lighter channel with a smaller web. It was easy to notch and bend. I added some center support for the winch.

Look up move bumpers I hear they will send you a kit with everything pre cut for like $500 all you got to do is well it together
I couldn't find precut kits for our trucks when I looked. I found a few for jeeps
and 500 wasn't cheap enough for me. the one I bought was only 100$ more and was ready to bolt on

Patriot304, if you're thinking about buying one, look at Thunderstruck bumpers. I've installed or helped install several. I really like them and they are pretty heavy duty. There's three dealers within 100 miles of you. They are Emergency Equipment Professionals, Fathead Tire and Accessories, and Comserv Services, LLC. Thunderstruck lists a 1986 F250, but there's nothing that fits them according to their web site.
