Sweet! What MPGs did you pull at that speed? Max boost? I like being able to mat the throttle and never get over 1000 egts.
I haven’t been able to verify mpg yet. And, my boost gauge is not working. I will update when I can.

At Wes’s recommendation, he had all my exhaust pipes coated inside and out.

You must be registered for see images attach

They look good. He will heat wrap them too.
Thanks Wes.

Rick

Is there any data on how much this actually drops egts, etc? there is a guy local to me that has an entire hotside for very short money (manifolds and up-pipe for factory 093) and I was thinking about picking it up specifically to have it ceramic coated to replace whats on mine which is uncoated.

Ive probably reread this thread 6 times just because its so awesome btw.

This isn't about dropping EGTs. It's about keeping the heat in the pipes up to the turbo which causes it to spool faster. It also keeps the heat from coming out of the hottest part of the exhaust which helps to keep it out of the cab. That's why I'm going to do it.

Thanks @Kevo1288 sorry I missed your post. There’s some data online about ceramic coating, and as jeremy said it’s mostly for keeping more energy going through the exhaust instead of dissipating into the trans and firewall, as well as preserving the metal from any corrosion, which exhaust wrap tends to promote. I don’t have any data per se, but I am planning on doing some testing in the future.
