Today I again looked longingly at the truck sitting in the yard. I had a 12 mm kidney stone "blasted" (lithotripsy, under general anesthesia) on Monday. Stent in place at least until next week, maybe another week after that. Feels like someone's kicking me in the left flank on every *** because it moves with the bladder contracting which yanks on the tube. Had a similar stone five years ago, laser treatment that time and also stented, so at least I knew what I was in for! :idiot:

So there is absolutely NFW I am going to bounce around in my D50-TTB truck for a while. My internal organs get jostled enough on our terrible dirt roads when they are healthy!

Wes, the turbo rebuild is also going to have to wait a few more days until I can climb/lie on the engine, unbolt and ship it to you!

Dr Charles I feel for you,I had a 7mm one last year that took 14 months to pass. Talking about the Borgeson steering shaft I replaced mine last year and got the one with the vibration damper on it. Took the left to right play out of it.

Replaced the rear brake shoes, hardware, wheel cylinders, axle seals and installed new brake drums. Didn't get to change out the differential oil due to myself running out arm strength. I really hope these SKF seals don't leak...

Also discovered the parking brake cable on one side is completely locked up and the other side is not moving freely unless I help it along, so new cables for me once I figure out how to get them swapped. Also wanted to change out the rear brake hose but cannot figure out how the axle vent goes through it to be honest.

If I remember correctly, the vent flex hose is just slid onto the barb. The other end of that piece also passes through the brass block on the end of the rear hose, and threads into the axle? Just unscrew it once you pull the vent tubing off.

Fuel heater on my 7.3 after 30 years decided to crack in half while driving home with my fiance and parents and start leaking fuel all over the exhaust manifold and making smoke everywhere. Have the 1/2 tap just gotta get a pipe plug and button that up.

Always at the most convenient of times do stupid things like this happen.

Got a nice new inspection sticker in the window today.

I showed up and the mechanic said "boy you must have strong legs!"

Apparently it's not just me and the clutch IS a little stiff LOL he's an older, short guy and couldn't get the seat to move. Said he had to pull himself against the steering wheel to get enough force to push clutch down. I'm laughing just typing this LOL

I just told him you get used to it. It's not quite as stiff as the International at work!

So last week the wifey called to make an appointment to have the trucks windshield replaced. I guess me procrastinating 27 months was more than she could handle. It had a bulls eye and nice crack since I bought it from Darin. Late last summer the base came loose and I stopped driving the truck.

Original windshield, one minor rust spot about 4" up on the driver side A pillar. Tech sanded and prepped it prior to install. 2 missing clips for the trim. I had him leave the trim off so I can at least primer the A pillars and leading edge of the roof. Also will polish the trim. Tech (owner of the company) said give him a call when I am ready and he will swing by with two clips and reinstall the trim for me. I love dealing with local owned shops! $249.00 out the door. I can't complain. (Yes I can, this windshield is so much nicer to look through than my daily driver!)

Weather forecast says another weekend in the garage. Hopefully finish all welding on the flatbed and maybe get a coat of primer on it. Think I've "huffed" about 5lbs of 6011 welding rods on this project, lungs need a break. Hope to have pics of finished bed soon......

Who did you use? I used safelite and I think I have a leak. Have to check it careful to be sure it’s not a cab light but I don’t think so.

Westminster auto glass did the wife’s a couple years ago and I was not at all happy with the work.
