For that kind of money I could live with a little noise. I have sealed them shut before on other trucks. Rarely use the vent window anyhow.

Your bullnose is probably too nice for clear vinyl tape on the outside, but I do wonder if it would quiet it down.
Wind noise really is the only thing that seems impossible to fix on anything OBS or older. I always feel like the engines are loud, the wind noise is loud, the only real fix is a better sound system LOL

Hey... Just put ear plugs in, crank a big sound system to 11... and you won't even notice the wind noise(or motor noise, or truck falling apart under you...)

Ear plugs were for the 1962 f-100 when running back and forth from college, now that had windnoise.
Motor noise is manageable, when only turning 1500 at 70. Also having the engine balancing makes a difference on the motor noise. Have tested the side window with tape with good results on the leading edge, not really a permanent solution though. It is funny how little wind noise rangers of the same era have. Other fun problem is this -10 and colder air is just louder.

Looking at their manual here:

http://www.onepieceproducts.com/images/PDF/OPP_Ford-F-Series-Truck_Instructions_80-96.pdf

page 13 directs you to cut a connection tab between the inner and outer shells. This would be required otherwise the glass can't fit. However, that tab is there to reduce the door's tendency to twist. Mine were cracked and I ended up adding extra material under the vent window frame when I put new doors in. 1st gen ford rangers did a factory starting in 1986-1987, but those trucks had extra bracing inside the door shell that Fseries trucks didn't have. How much difference would it make? hard to say, but it will weaken the door.

Reducing wind noise would be nice, but this is $800 for something that may or may not even work.

Besides, vent windows are something you simply can't get anymore on new vehicles. It's one of the things that makes our trucks unique as time goes on. Hell, the window lines are so high now, you can't even ride with your arm on the door.
