...it's 7 degrees out (windchill -15) and you plug-in your block heater, and the darn thing starts weeping coolant!
No doubt the O-ring has gotten hard, only weeps when I plug it in, not before or after engine is running.
Grrrrrr, not the time of year to be changing a block heater outside in the elements.

Oh.....how I hate block heater problems during those temps. Especially when its only a 2 year old offshore made heater with little use, that full retail was paid on.

Mine puked years ago. Fortunately that hole takes a regular freeze plug and not the center stake things like the rest are. I don't need it.

i really hate it when it is that cold out, hard to keep the woodstove going hard enough to heat everything up in the house.

i might be tempted to just add an aftermarket in line heater to one of the hoses at this point. i prefer to wait until warmer weather when it is cold enough your hands freeze to the tools when you pick them up.
