My truck had ac and a wide radiator. Is that where the optional part came in?

83That was more than likely a "Dealer Installed" AC. What year is your truck?
My truck has dash vents, ac controls in not under the dash with the heat controls, short wide radiator, and standard output heater core. None of that seams like a standard combination. Maybe my truck is just an example of how you could order what ever you wanted back then, no “packages”. My condenser and pump has been removed and lines to the evaporator cut. I’d like to restore all that but my vents are stuck on defrost. Still love the truck lolIn the bullnose trucks 80-86, you had 3 HVAC options:
Heat only
Factory A/C
Dealer Installed A/C
A heat only truck did not have vents in the dash, only the floor and defrost vents.
A Factory A/C truck had vents in the dash along with the floor and defrosters. These were 3 entire different dashes.
A Dealer Installed A/C most of the time was a "self contained" unit that had controls for the A/C built into it, that mounted under that dash and provided only A/C. The heat still ran through the floor and defroster.
Starting with the bricknose trucks, they all had vents in the dash, with A/C or not.
Normally the non A/C trucks had the short wide radiator. The Factory A/C truck had the tall narrow radiator.
Thanks. I guess I just can't remember those. I've only seen a couple of those radiators. The super cooling, wide radiator option uses the two piece shroud.
I don't know. The auto is better for building boost(and shifting without losing any) but /man/ do they suck power.
Your living in the past man, when an auto is all locked up in direct drive all your loss is a pump. ie not much!
Well you certainly are setting up for drag racing aren't you?A trans brake manual valve body C6 is what I want
