I bought a 1966 IH Crew Cab Military 1 ton Travelette. The truck has the BG 265 motor. My options are the 392 I just bought as well, or a DT 360. The DT 360 is in the fact finding area right now. I know I would probably need to upgrade the Dana 44's in the front? At least add some leafs for the heavier engine. Also, being new to Diesels, I will have some else do the install. My question is what trans and transfer case could I use? I suppose I could switch over to a Ford front end and use the Ford trans and transfer case that is adaptable to the engine. Thoughts?
