Hello Sacred Oil Burners of the internet, i have two questions relating to fuel on my pickup trucks.

The first is a 1985 F250 4x4 extended cab 6.9 sidewinder with a C6. I recently replaced the injectors with a good set i had laying around and i have fuel bubbling at the base of a few injectors where it screws into the head, they have new copper washers and I am wondering if someone else has run into this problem before. They are leaking enough to fill the glowplug pocket and its getting frustrating. I have all injectors torqued to 35 ft lbs. What could be causing this leak?

My second truck is my 1985 single cab 7.3 088 ATS turbo with a ZF5. Recently my dual tanks have quit working and I had an idea maybe someone else has done on here. I am planning on painting this truck soon, I will be removing the bed anyways to paint it and the back of the cab. I am considering removing the two tank system and building a single tank that holds 40+ gallons with an external electric pump. Has anyone on here deleted their dual tanks for a big single tank before? If so, i would appreciate some guidance and tips while building this fuel set up. Thank you in advance.

Are you sure it’s coming from underneath the injector and not dripping down from the return caps? If the base of the body is not properly torqued to the top of the injector body it will leak under pressure and come up the threads. The copper washer doesn’t seal fuel, just combustion gasses

I haven't heard of a 40+ but the Bronco tank is 38 and a great upgrade. It would be a cinch with the bed off, and there are plenty of threads around if you search. I run duals still with the 38 gal tank and really like it. You will have to find a new place for the spare tire.
