Hey folks, I stupidly over-tightened the shaft nut on my Banks Sidewinder turbo while rebuilding it and sheared the end of the shaft off. I'm having a hard time finding a replacement shaft (and I think the exhaust side turbine wheel is part of the shaft, but I'm not sure). Anybody know where I can find that? Or have an old Sidewinder sitting around that they would sell me?
thanks, Josh

You will need to rebalance the whole assembly with the new shaft, or you will be rebuilding again very soon.

Dang, so it’s another proprietary part? Where can we get this Russ?

Edit, can it be machined to work possibly?

I’ve got a cheap banks kit in the marketplace. Buy it, use what you need, and part out the rest.

Im working on it. The wheel cant be machined. housing can IF I can find one that is close.
I need to check my cache Russ. I know I have one and may be a good core to use if needed.

Glad someone spoke up on this mentioned aftermarket shaft. The wheels are part of the shaft but.. They are two different materials. The wheel is inconel. Not sure what the shaft material is but it will rust.
