What's RP? What synthetic trans oil is out there that is not sulfur based (for the sake of the bronze components in my ZF-5 shooter). To answer the question, I use Shell Rotella T 15w-40, and Lucas oil stabilizer (going to Rotella T Synthetic 5w-40, and in the boxes)

RP is royal purple, synthetic oil

8800 Lubrication Engineers oil. Non synthetic. Used for over 20 years in Alaska, Utah, Colorado amd Maine. My current Ram cummins has over 280,000 and runs great, with 12, 000 miles oil change.

I use Rotella T 5w-40 in my crankcase, b&m synthetic trick shift in my 5 speed, and my p/s pump, my rear axle isn't synthetic yet, but currently has Lucas 85w-140 in it.

What ever 15w40 is on sale. Lots of Warren oils like super tech and proline as I can get those cheap. I have ran Delvac,Delo too...when on sale. I don't think you can buy a bad diesel oil. I tried a 5w40 synthetic and my engine drank it like it was free.

I use Sinopec 15/40 SM/CF Grade in most of the older diesels that come through the shop ...... wholesale price of about $430.00 usd for a 44 gal drum makes it one of the cheaper oils out there which pleases the hell out of my customers :):)

Oreilly has chevron delo xsp 5w-40 on sale. $22/gal, then through Chevron you can get a $20 rebate if you buy 3.
