Yeah like Jasper said it aounds like the transfer case is shifting as directed but the front axle isn’t getting the message.
If the switch blinks for a few seconds and then shows 2wd again instead of 4Lo then it’s likely the switch. I’ve had a few of those go bad too.
Two other common causes of the ticking on the Vortec engines that goes away once warmed up - piston slap and small exhaust leaks at the head. They used fairly small bolts to attach the manifolds and they often break in the head.
About a week ago I installed these same bulbs in my Yukon (Slyvania zXe Xenon I believe). The low beams are nice and bright with a crisp white light but I'm still trying to get used to the high beams because they don't seem as bright or focused as the Silverstars I replaced.
Looks like a previous owner got rid of the water sensor and wiring. I went back into the wire harness a few inches and didn't find any cut wires though. I guess I'll just pull the light bulb.
I think the tank is ok. I'm only using the rear tank right now because the front one leaks. The rear tank is filled with fresh fuel.
The picture shows the filter that was on the truck when I bought it. I've replaced it with the identical filter (without the sensor port). I'm not sure this truck...
