I personally never meant to clutter. I like the aluminum caps have said so from the start of this thread. I would love to have a set. Other posters ( who I have to assume have had more experience than me with the leak issues) mentioned that they didn't think the caps where the entire problem. I...- Smokininmo

BTW I'm not saying there is no older truck that is good or there is no older truck worth 8800. If you where looking at a 4x4 cclb 7.3 idi with all the options in that condition then 10,000 would be a fair price imho. But an eclb 2x4? The only thing its got is a low milage diesel which is hard to...- Smokininmo

8800 for a 2WD!! No way! I dont care if it has 7500 miles. Kbb puts it at the 6000-6500 mark. I know that can be relative but unless this is your dream truck with all of the options exactly how you want it there is no way its worth the money being asked. Had it with the return caps!
I think you run to much risk of getting the sealant in your return lines and eventually to your Injector pump. Then you have real problems.- Smokininmo

That may be close to the same size then. If we can get numbers we can figure out if it is two or three speeds and what the ratios are. Also since mine is out of the truck i can shift it and spin it. It is obvious what gear you are in by the different speeds of the input and output shafts.- Smokininmo

It is possible that it only has a low gear and straight through. Mine was in an f600 so its a bit bigger than the little 1 ton trannys. the ones like mine with the overdrive where not as common.- Smokininmo
