97 OBS INTERRMITTENT LOUD HARSH METALLIC BANG WHEN ACCELERATING FROM STOP.
Might be loose torque converter to flywheel bolts too. Maybe not super loose, just enough to allow it to slide around under certain circumstances. I would check out the other issues but might not be too hard to slip inspection plate off and see if you can slip anything around with a pry bar...- sle2115

Flat bed
I purchased mine on ebay for $500. It's a cadet and seems very well built. It has a gooseneck built into it as well. I had to modify it for a dump bed, but I just built a hinge, 2 -2x4 box steel rails with the hoist, then set the bed over them and bolted it on. So 5 bolts per side, unplug...- sle2115

Mine is only an 87, but I had to change the speedo gear, easy to do, finding the speedo gear, not so easy...local stealership said only 3.55 and 4.10's were put in, not a problem you say, you have 3.55's...well, my local said they were no longer available. Again, this is for an 87...not sure...- sle2115

If it is a circulation issue, it could well be getting hot somewhere...that was why I also suggested the point and shoot thermometer. Wonder if it could be a circulation issue...impeller gone on water pump or something. That's strange! If it's only 130 there, it has to be hotter than hell somewhere I would think. Access to a point and shoot temp gun? check lower block, radiator, etc- sle2115
