    I used a whole house filter and HF trash pump. Kept two barrels one settling ad the other of filtered. I would pump off the top of the settled through the filter and into the other tank. When I added oil to my truck tank I would pump through the filter again. I would use 20 micron on first...

    If the pulsing is in sync with a chuffing sound it could be valve guides.

    Maybe a call to that company to educate yourself of what year model truck/van you can use. According to their website it seems late 89/90-94. That might make the junk yard scrounging a bit easier. But I am just going off what I read.

    They have a tech line to call and make sure you have the right one. Give them part # for your trans on the sticker. Should be able to get you going for not a lot of money.
