Front Parking Brake Cable - New one is not the same as the old?

Truck doesn't like Overdrive when cold
My '97 F250 does the same thing. I'm not sure, but I believe it's only purpose is to allow the engine and transmission to reach a "normal" temperature and not allowing the engine to lug until it warms. Just saying. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- papasmirf
