It seems to me the reason the ford vacuum assist is so weak is the small diameter booster, It's tiny compared to the booster on my '95 GMC K1500 . More diaphragm surface area means more force from the same pressure differential, which translates into less leg force needed to stop. As for the...- oztinker47

the worst engineering part of your Ford?
The windshield washer fluid reservoir is way too small on my '85, doesn't quite hold a half gallon. When the roads are slushy and messy its gone far too quickly. Then there's the hose popping off the bottom all the time, they put an extra plastic collar around it so I can't just slip a spring...- oztinker47

So I figured out my screwup, someone in the past installed incorrect spring and I stupidly copied their mistake. The truck as actually supposed to have the 3486# springs. $400 lesson learned. Sent from my XT1028 using Tapatalk- oztinker47

The only bushings I did not replace were the TTB to cross member bushings. the new springs and shackles came with new bushings pre-installed, saving me that bit if hassle. Sent from my XT1028 using Tapatalk- oztinker47
