    Need new fuel pickup tubes

My senders are wonky too, I was going to see if I could rebuild the unit by stripping parts and replacing the old ones with new ones. Good luck.

Page 85 of the newest LMC catalog, PN 43-4195 $14.95, if the catalog is correct. https://www.lmctruck.com/1980-96-ford/gas-tanks-parts/fd-1980-96-side-mount-gas-tank-and-components

6.9 IDI-what kind of battery charger do I get from

Hey! Finally a topic where I can add a little more knowledge. I have both dumb and smart chargers, my smart chargers are two Battery Tenders and a Battery Minder. They will not boil out a battery, and they are not designed to jump start your truck. I did find this out this past summer; if...

    7.3 IDI Air Con

Wow, something I have actually looked into. I was/am planning the same swap and was told that the AC compressor bracket was specific to the idi engine,( I have an 88 7.3 N/A) because of belt alignment.

So what did you do with your truck today?

So I pulled # 8 apart and I really cross threaded that injector. Not sure how that happened, but a new one has been ordered along with a pyro and a return kit, so hopefully early next week it will run with no leaks. In the fuel system, need to check brakes and clutch.

So what did you do with your truck today?

Ninth post, I think, and today I got my truck running since probably 2013, with a new IP and injectors from Conestoga Diesel. Only problem is a leak at the # 8 injector. I will be popping it off tomorrow and looking to see if I cross threaded the the line cap. Then check the brakes and the...

    Project Overload

Oh yea, I've used the search function enough to know that. Conestoga isn't that far from me that I couldn't run down there to get the goods. I think part of my hesitation on this problem has been convincing myself to buy the parts, I was hoping it was a cheap and easy fix. It might be one or...

    Project Overload

So fill the fuel filter with Diesel Kleen. I need a red button, that was easy. Thanks for the suggestion, here's hoping!

    Project Overload

No it's not the name of my truck, it's what's going on in my life. Normal seems to be to much to do, and is the genesis of my user name. So my truck stopped running reliably in 2013, after I, in retrospect, did a really stupid thing, which was try to run some WVO in it. No auxiliary heater...

    Sorta FNG

Greetings to everyone in the community. You can call me Steve. I haven't ever posted here, but I have been a member since 2003, which is, incidentally, when I bought my 88. I'd been wanting a CC to haul the family around and when I saw it for $600 I absolutely couldn't resist. I sold my...
