No Wait to Start Lite, GPR Test & GP Ohm Test

Thanks. I have a couple liters of Stanadyne in there so I doubt it's gelled fuel. There's no fuel moving and the new filter is dry. Unfortunately there's only the mechanical pump and no electric fuel pump. I looked at several electric pump filter packages and I just can't afford the $1000+...

No Wait to Start Lite, GPR Test & GP Ohm Test

Thanks for that. Replaced a 10A fuse and got my gauges and WTS light back. I was driving up a long hill and was losing power then started to miss. Check Engine light came on as well as Fuel Filter indicator. Limped home and changed fuel filter and managed to get it started OK and drove...

No Wait to Start Lite, GPR Test & GP Ohm Test

There's a drop of over 2 volts between the two high voltage terminals and the batteries may be weak as well. The truck was running when it was warmer out (it's around -20C today), so I expect the PCM may be operational but I'd like to test that. Will an OBD reader work for that?

No Wait to Start Lite, GPR Test & GP Ohm Test

Thanks Jasper, I have the dual pigtails going through the injector cover gaskets and I busted one of the clips today, so I guess if I'm going dive into changing glow plugs, I might want to replace the gaskets also? Kelly Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk

So what did you do with your truck today?

Not what I wanted obviously, but maybe someone else can learn from my mistake. Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk

So what did you do with your truck today?

I had a hot start problem just before Christmas and figured it was time for a new IP but where to find one right at Xmas for a 7.3 IDI? Enter Facebook. I found a guy about 2 hours away with a new reman unit that was a few years old but still in the bag and included a set of injectors. So the...

No Wait to Start Lite, GPR Test & GP Ohm Test

Hey Guys, 97 7.3L Powerstroke will not start at -22C. Block heater is working, batteries are charged & terminals cleaned. Turns over well. Get 12.5V at GPR with key Off. With key On, GP side of relay shows 10.5V, so relay needs to be replaced. No 'Wait to Start' indicator light. How should...

Thanks. Is there a way I can confirm the IP is pumping?

Need help with Bleeding new IP & Injectors...

The IP is a reman unit that was sitting for sometime (years), but still in the bag, so it should be good. The injectors are matched to the IP.

With key on and remove the contact on top of IP and the solenoid clicks.

Need help with Bleeding new IP & Injectors...

Hey Guys, I replaced my IP and injectors and got everything back together the way I think it should be but I just can't seem to get any fuel bubbling at the injector connections. There's fuel coming from the return line back to the pump. I can get fuel at the schrader bleed fitting at the...

    7.3L IDI Battery Load Test

    7.3L IDI Battery Load Test

Hey guys, Just wondering if someone can coach me through a correct load test. I have a Fluke multimeter and with probes attached to drivers side battery it reads 12.5 volts. With key on and glow plugs heating voltage drops to 10.3 volts. Cold cranking voltage drops to 6.5 volts, which I think...
