Yep, thats the one! Take it out before you pull the cover, that way you don't mess up your new paint when the wrench slips off it to remove it for filling the axle.
I need to edit the filling process. It goes in the hole in the cover, Dana axles have no pinion nose filler plugs. I was thinking of another (GM) type of axle.
Rear gear oil change is a piece of cake. The hardest part is cleaning the old gasket off the cover. Some like to use silicone instead of a gasket. I prefer to use spray on weatherstrip adhesive to the cover side of the gasket. Let it tack up and install it on the axle cover. Then I smear a thin...

The definitive solution will be to pull the cover and read the numbers on the ring gear and divide the little number into the big one. 5.13 gear would be pretty rare and I suspect even with a 32 inch tire you would still not be able to reach the speeds you mentioned. 55 mph would prety much be...
The metal tag on the left side between the 2 bolts should have axle info stamped into it also. The place on the casting I was referring to is the spot that has the diamond shape cast into the housing. Maybe the other numbers in the web above it will tell you what axle it is.
I just remembered...
If you do take the time to remove the rear axle cover and change the gear oil, you will find some numbers stamped on the edge of the ring gear. Those numbers tell you the ring and pinion count. Dividing the small number into the big one will result in the gear ratio. An example would be 41-10...

Guy built an F250 on www.GoFastBroncos.com called the BajaF250 and built his own tank, but used the stock Ford fuel guage. This is three wires but one is a ground. I think he paid around $65.00 shipped for this one. Check out the truck, It...
Kind of interesting, most engine rebuild kits for gas engines assume you will deck the block and the replacement pistons are usually 20 thousandths shorter than stock pistons. How much would it cost to have your stock pistons milled as opposed to buying new? Seems like the secret to getting...
What got me thinking about the pump is the inlet cone I think is the same (in the center of the discharge side of the pump) on both pumps. My thought was that if the pump turns opposite then the fuel lines would just have to be rerouted to go to the proper injector according to the firing order...
His buddy racinganddrumming has an interesting build too. He has taken a stock intake and split it, mounted the turbo in front passenger side of engine, with studs etc. He has maintained a stock compression ratio and does not plan too much boost. Should be interesting to see the videos of both...
