    Thank you Brett, that explained allot for me. My last question would be an I correct in assuming somewhere from each light there should be a “y” between the light and the wire that runs from the switch? Because that is where I’d have to split the spice to run the wires to the switches...

    Ok all, got another project to get this truck ready to pass inspection. I have the usual issue with the headlight switch acting up. I removed the dash cover and pulled the assembly out. The connector had the loose burned wire. So I was searching for a write up on removing the original switch...

    I thought the same thing, but not knowing too much about the systemi was kind of leaning to the fact that Pensacola diesel gave me some bad injectors. Truck never used to smoke, could the pump have a setting that I could try to adjust? I’d be willing to try it but wouldn’t know where to start...

    Yea, I guess that’s why they say, you get what you pay for. Lesson learned: can y’all recommend a few quality rebuilders? i figure I better do it now with quality parts before the one I have in there get froze up with carbon and I have to wrestle everything out again.

    Ok so I advanced the pump in small increments until the fall between the the two marks are approximately 7/16” apart. Truck fired up instantly and was pretty smooth. I was still having the heavy smoke. My question is shouldn’t the smoke clear up? I’m going to set up a tensioner to push the...

    I read something like that before Selahdoor, I just couldn’t see how it moved I guess just loosen the 3 bolts on the IP body, then give her a few love taps with a soft mallet or pry bar into position until I get a bolt down tight enough?     FWIW- when I did the IP, I left the pump housing on, I just removed the three bolts and worked the pump out.
