WMO in CRD, Test in progress - any others using WMO in CRD?

Update - so ran about 7K so far and all is good - except one small issue. I wont start worth a crap on straight W85 tip start takes 3 trys, so switched to reg diesel and problem went away instantly. Working on blending w85 with diesel and see how little I can use before starting gets bad. Also...

WMO in CRD, Test in progress - any others using WMO in CRD?

There was alot of rounding in my conversion calcs, Her majesty would be disappointed in me as I used US gallons from those ungrateful colonies :) Why would you use biodiesel for lubricity? lots of guys add some atf to their regular diesel for lubricity and we are running 85% old oil - lots of...

WMO in CRD, Test in progress - any others using WMO in CRD?

I use WMO exclusively for years now in all my mechanical diesels. Blend is 85%. Love it. In Northern Canada runs great in the winter at -40 no preheaters, same blend. In beginning had trouble due to not clean enough, plugged some injectors. invested in a bowl centrifuge and never looked back...

    Wmo winter use?

Run W85 all winter here in Canada. -50 No thinning, Won't pump (fast) using my reg transfer pump have to use my gear pump to fill tank but the vehicle pump handles it no problem... Had more problems with gelling diesel before I switched.

    New To Waste Oil

    Hi all,

    Sourcing WMO

I used a home hardware gear pump, coupled to a old electric motor. Try this method - not the best but works for a cheap - give it a whirl without lots of input costs. Pump is handy to have anyways. Use a 30 micron filter inline on the suction side when picking up the oil, let is settle for...

    Sourcing WMO

I just talked to some garages, as long as you have a good way of picking up - they are mostly worried about spills. I have a gear pump and 1000L tote on a trailer, they call me when they are full and away I go. You only really need 1 maybe 2 shops. Dropping off the odd case of beer helps :)...

    First small batch of WMO

interested but thinking that the shipping to canada would be a *****. I remember the old grand nationals - so very cool back in the day. Is a beautiful one in my area always brings back memories when I see it.

    First small batch of WMO

Putting a new BDS lift on it next week - 4bt trashed the cheap springs it came with so thought I would try air bags - what a monumentally stupid idea. was beautiful on the highway but only is about 2 inches of travel - nasty on my roads. the back roads. was nice for working though - air down and...

    First small batch of WMO

I have been using WMO for a few years and really happy with it. Nothing is free though - so yes it can be a pain - but once you get all the kinks worked out it is great. First off - if you only run 10 gallons you will never go through with it. Simply because one of the most frustrating times...

    Who's running W80/W90 full time?

Total KISS theory addict here. Plus mech. I can fix. (well mostly) When you move the lever to 4wd it's in 4wd. No waiting for some solenoid motor and blinking light to tell you that it thinks it's in 4wd.

Centrifuge Oil Filter - from Belarus tractor (think CAT as well)

Thats what I love about WMO for preparedness, can stockpile cheaply, doesn't go bad, - will be the last person driving around, although bit of a lead magnet perhaps :(
