A few questions about this “IDIT”
So I’m working on an engine for a customer of mine that is supposedly a factory turbocharged 7.3 from either 1993 or 1994. The engine came with no turbo, but the guy that sold it said it is a turbo motor with the stronger pistons and whatnot, he had just sold the turbo kit separately...- IDI_Journeyman

Hot shots stiction eliminator is supposably made for HEUI injections systems, I hear it’s pretty good stuff. I saw that this morning when I went to Napa, it was tempting but i ended up buying 15W-40 Rotella. I noticed my truck was drinking a little bit of oil, maybe half a quart over 3000 miles. maybe because the 5W-40 was thinner...- IDI_Journeyman

So all that being said, since it doesn’t get colder than about 20F where I live I can run 15W-40 year round? I couldn’t even imagine -40 weather. Gotta be the one good thing about living in central commifornia is the weather :Thumbs Up Also has anyone on here used Mythik diesel oil?- IDI_Journeyman

Glow plug issue might not be working....?
Spray some penetrating oil on your plugs before you take them out. Then pray to sweet baby jesus that the tips are not swollen. If they are Iv had some pretty good luck with just putting some vise grips on the plug and working it back and forth with penetrating oil, but it doesn’t always work...- IDI_Journeyman

glow plug drilling/extraction
I think letting it soak in panther **** for a few days really loosened it up, my friend recommended a square extractor. We tapped it home with a hammer lightly and it came right out with a wrench on the extractor Also it looks like they were NOT ZD9 plugs. Not auto lites either but they weren’t...- IDI_Journeyman
