Update: Front brakes won't disengage after rear brake job

I think that's what's up, it started life as a 250, no doubt the dual rear is not stock.

Update: Front brakes won't disengage after rear brake job

Okay the issue is resolved and I do feel a little bit stupid. I'd like to thank everyone who took the time to rack their brain to help me solve my problem. So when I tore into this thing 2 weeks ago I found that it was equipped with 2" wheel spacers. Having a strong dislike for parts that...

Update: Front brakes won't disengage after rear brake job

Update: The issue is not with the front brakes, as I had originally thought. I jacked up the front end and both front tires spin freely. I moved the truck back and forth 20 feet or so several times. I ran my star wheel adjusters all of the way in when I installed the new brakes on the rear so...

Update: Front brakes won't disengage after rear brake job

Noise and I can feel them working. It feels like the brakes are fully engaged as I let the clutch out. Not too sure about anything because it just doesn't make sense to me, but I can't imagine what could be causing that other than a caliper sticking.

Update: Front brakes won't disengage after rear brake job

A couple of weeks ago I had complete failure of my rear brakes. When tearing into them I found that the PO failed to install the lower return springs. First time I put a heavy loads behind the truck I fried the brakes. So anyway, between work, rain, cold, and waiting for parts this project...

Ford rust issues, looking for creative solutions

Me either, I had a 92 F150 extended cab that had rust in the same place. These are Tennessee trucks that have spent their lives in and around Tennessee and they still have rust in this spot even though this area is not too bad for rust.

Ford rust issues, looking for creative solutions

Very similar to Catbird7s issues. I'll try to grab some pics next time I'm home and it's daylight.

Ford rust issues, looking for creative solutions

I've been racking my brain on this since I bought the truck. To fix it the "right" way I figure I'll spend more than the truck is worth, not an option. Truck is a 1993 F250 extended cab. The rise is at the bottom of the extended cab on both sides, otherwise the truck is solid. My original...

    Bed rail do's and don'ts

Great ideas, that's the kind of stuff I'm looking for. I could see the use in something taller than a 1x8, thought if I went that route I would run ratchet straps across the top to keep the sides from pushing out. Who knows, I may make up a single rail and a full side.

Trouble fueling up because of flatbed

That's been my main reason not to. I bought this truck to haul heavy loads short distances so it likely wouldn't be an issue. That said, I hate to limit myself intentionally. I think that I could use a T connector and maintain the current filler and add one to the bed as well.

Trouble fueling up because of flatbed

I've thought about that and may just wind up doing it, for now anyway. I'm going to try a bigger vent hose as well. The little hose has already been removed. Thanks for the suggestions everyone!

Trouble fueling up because of flatbed

When I fuel up I have issues with for spilling out the filling port. The filler hose runs across the top of a toolbox and is about 30" long before it takes a 90 degree turn into the tank. Undoubtedly, the long flat run of filler hose is the culprit but there is no way to route it differently or...

    Bed rail do's and don'ts

Hello all, I need to build up some bed rails for my flat bed. I mainly haul firewood and logs on the bed. I'm thinking just a simple 2x8 would suffice. There are slots down the side of the bed for 2x4s, so it should be pretty simple. Just wanted to check to see if anyone had any cool ideas...

Electrical woes, short in right rear turn signal

Not sure if the truck has spent time sitting out not, but here in Tennessee our humidity is awful, so corrosion is certainly a possibility. I'll check that ground again as well. Thanks for the suggestions.
