    1984 F250 Dana 60 Swap

Well that may be true. The DW I experienced (and which went away after replacing the worn trac bar bushings) was prior to doing RSK. Retained the TB though and no DW so no doubt beneficial but essential with RSK- ?? Would need someone with real life experience on RSK w/o T-Bar to weight in.

    1984 F250 Dana 60 Swap

Not sure what the secret is but know even with track bar, if it’s bushings are badly worn contributes to “death wobble”

    1984 F250 Dana 60 Swap

When I did this on ‘87 F250HD, I reused the TTB front springs and left the stock 2” rear spring spacers which resulted in front/rear heights being nearly level when unloaded. Stock F350 sits about 2” higher in rear. I later did Sky’s RSK with SuperDuty “U” code springs and needed to go to F350...

I’m fairly sure you will want to retain the track bar whether stay standard or go RSK.

    Trustworthy repair shops in OR?

A couple of comments- I had similar issue with BW T-19 4 spd which turned out to be very worn large main shaft bearing and with that problem, driving it to Iowa is not an option; maybe trailering but not under its own power I believe. And original engine is 6.9; the 7.3 heads you say you have...

Driving a T19 - Is it Bad to Start in 2nd?

OPs ‘84 could/probably is from my experience the wide ratio version with 5:1 1st. These were commonly standard in ‘83 & ‘84. He didn’t say what axle ratio he has. My ‘87 with 3.55 and 265/75-16s originally had close ratio T19 (4:1 1st) and starting in 2nd unloaded was possible but did require...

1994 7.3 NA Running Warmer than Normal?

My vote on this is thermostat failed- based on similar experience. Would heat up from just normal driving; changed fan clutch and no change. Pulled thermostat and found one of the three tabs that hold the pellet broken so even though the pellet was expanding/extending, the thermostat wasn’t able...

    Driveshaft support bearing

Okay have to ask- did the slip joint and seal just slide off the splined part (that’s how I have been disassembling in past) or does the end seal screw off? My suspicion is it is a press fit on the outer shaft and not meant to be removed.

    Antarctic IDI Build

regarding doing RSK on ‘87-‘92 version frames, I did my ‘87 last summer using Sky’s Off Road Design kit for SuperDuty springs. These remarks assume the frame on your ‘90 F350 Ambo is same as my ‘87 F250. I can vouch for its completeness and benefits BUT it turned out to be significantly more...

    Antarctic IDI Build

Can answer that- the ‘87-‘92(?) frame front horns are noted to be weak- notice no front hitch receivers for these. To do the RSK necessitates reinforcing the frame ahead of the front shackle point. That’s what I suspect he is saying about boxing in the frame there.

Love the thread’s info!! What aftermarket wired backup camera setup did you go with?

    Grinding shift, Now gone?

An aspect to consider is dry pivot on throughout arm. My experience was hard shifting was contributed to by the pivot being bone dry and after removing and applying a smear of multipurpose grease it went away- until it developed several months later. Found a remark in Ford service manual that...

    Allison 6 speed transmision?

Hmm not to pour cold water but that all depends on spacing of the standard gears- to be effective the GV’s gearing reduction needs to be fairly evenly split between the standard gear ratios ;-)
